I was always intrigued by physical fitness since my mother took me along when she taught Aerobics classes when I was 7. I was never skilled but I played sports all the way through high school with moderate success. It wasn't until I went to Colorado State University, where I earned my B.S. in Exercise Science, did I understand how I could mold my body. Since then I have made it my mission to help my clients, friends, and family achieve their fitness goals. My passion is to help as many people as I can change their lives for the better through fitness and be the best father I can be for my family.

I love the camaraderie, motivation, and support group fitness brings. We all are looking for something different each day we walk through the doors, and I love that this is where many of our needs get met; through laughter, lots of work, and sweat.
One on one we work on goals both in and out of the gym. I really love watching people have success as they define it and cheering them on and pushing them to reach their goals and beyond.
I travel all over to support our sport organizing and judging CrossFit athletes from local comps to regionals/semis, the CrossFit Games, and other huge fitness festivals. I also travel the World instructing at resorts on the beach, in the pool, and in the gym. Fitness is a universal language.

Education:
I am a California native, and have been in Colorado for about 10 years. I have 3 kiddos, and am married to my husband Nick.
I was always into fitness and movement! I played soccer and rode horses all the way to the collegiate level, and after graduating college I was into competitive bodybuilding, and bikini competitions. In 2008 I stepped foot into my first CrossFit gym and was instantly hooked. In 2009 the owner asked me to coach and get certified. Since then I’ve been coaching/training in some capacity.
I went on to compete at CrossFit sectionals and regionals in 2009 and 10.
My fitness level changed as I moved through different seasons of my life such as pregnancy and postpartum. I knew there was more to being an athlete while being pregnant and that led me to BIRTHFIT. I now specialize in the pregnant athlete, and helping train for the act of giving birth and rehabbing in postpartum! But trust me I can still kick anyone’s ass!

I was born and raised in north central Kansas, I received my Associate degree in Early Childhood Education then attended Kansas State University earning my Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies & Human Services in 2009. I began my fitness journey in 2016 after moving to Colorado. My passion is teaching group exercise classes, especially bootcamp style but I also enjoy working 1:1 with clients. I truly believe fitness is not only physical, but is one of the best things a person can do to improve mental health. My ideal client is someone who is ready to put in the work it takes to create a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable. I enjoy connecting with clients on a personal level & getting to know each person’s story. The main thing I tell all of my clients is Consistency over Perfection. With consistency, big improvements can & will happen!

What started as a personal commitment to improving my own fitness quickly grew into something much bigger.
Over a decade later, the discipline, community, and constant pursuit of progress have led me to recertify my CF-L1 and step back into a coaching role here at Official Fitness.
Whether I’m leading a class or jumping into a workout alongside you, I’m always looking for ways to help members grow, improve, and build confidence in their training.
I’m constantly expanding my knowledge so I can better support our community. In recent years, I’ve developed a deeper focus on endurance training and performance. With multiple ultramarathons under my belt, I’m a strong resource for getting started in running, training plans, pacing strategies, heart rate zone training, and fueling for performance.
